cloudworx.listen is part of cloudworx.components. These are our tools for Salesforce, offering functions that are lacking in the process design solutions available on the market.

With cloudworx.listen, webhooks are possible without HTTPS authentication.
In simple terms, a webhook is a web address that you provide to third-party services to transfer information to or from your own system.
Two ERP systems communicate with each other. ERP stands for ‘enterprise resource planning’ and describes a software solution that helps companies plan and manage resources such as capital, materials, personnel, information and communication technology. Third-party providers now offer functions that can supplement and expand Salesforce as a CRM platform. A webhook is required to transfer data from one system to another. A webhook allows the program logic of the entire system to be expanded.
But why is this connection so important?
A webhook allows the program logic of the entire system to be expanded.
- For data synchronisation: certain data is used on different servers, such as user data. Without synchronisation, changes must be made manually and you are not informed about changes on other servers. This wastes time and money. With webhooks, changes are processed directly.
- Further processing of processes: user data can be linked to different systems, e.g. for cash flow forecasting.
- Without webhooks, APIs have to regularly check the data for changes, which generates a lot of data traffic.
- Real-time responses: Systems can respond immediately to events. This can be essential for time-sensitive processes, such as stock prices.
- Mailbox monitoring: A third-party provider for sending SMS messages can use webhooks to communicate whether and when an SMS has been delivered.
Now for the good news: Salesforce already supports webhooks.
But unfortunately, only with HTTPS authentication. Every third-party service we have implemented so far that can address webhooks (without exception) has only enabled this without authentication. When integrating with third-party systems, this guarantees a break in the process.
The solution: cloudworx.listen.
With cloudworx.listen, webhooks are possible without HTTPS authentication.
Twilio, for example, is a communication platform that can be used to make calls, send SMS messages and other communications. It can be easily connected to Salesforce with cloudworx.listen.
Thanks to integrated Salesforce authentication, every webhook can be accessed from within Salesforce. This means that there are no longer any problems when integrating with third-party systems via webhooks.
The data is only synchronised when you press the button. This means that when you make a change to any user data in Salesforce, you press a button and the data is transferred to the third-party system. But why not automatic synchronisation, you ask? It is possible that the data in both systems may conflict with each other. This means that if synchronisation takes place every day at midnight and there are two different data sets, the system cannot distinguish which data should be prioritised. To avoid this, a button is built in so that you can decide for yourself.
No more switching back and forth between different systems. You can seamlessly connect Twilio and other systems to your Salesforce company organisation from within Salesforce.
